RN/LVN Pediatric Home Health Nurse
About The Position
Children's Home Healthcare provides pediatric home healthcare to medically complex children. The organization is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to care for pediatric patients across a range of acuity levels. Nurses work in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient setting and collaborate with a clinical supervisor, other care agencies, and physician offices. New graduates and nurses with little to no experience may ask about the extern program, which offers training opportunities. The role is offered on day or night shifts: 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Schedules are flexible, and nurses may be asked to fill in when needed. Compensation depends on license type and may vary based on patient acuity, staffing difficulty, and location: the listed LVN range is $20–$25 and the RN range is $30–$35.
Requirements
- Valid and current nursing license as an RN or LVN.
- Valid and current CPR card for healthcare workers.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and fill in when needed.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
- Current driver's license and auto insurance, and ability to operate an automobile.
- Ability to be completely mobile to lift and transfer a patient between locations.
- Ability to lift an average of up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Perform nursing procedures for which the nurse's training has provided the necessary skills and judgment.
- Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the clinical supervisor.
- Provide health counseling, emotional support, and parental education.
- Coordinate care with other agencies and physician offices involved in patient care.
- Be available to fill in when needed.
