About The Position

Iowa Home Care is hiring a Pediatric Staff Nurse to provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to pediatric clients in their homes. The nurse follows physician-directed care plans, administers treatments, and works with a care team to support each child’s health, safety, and well-being in a familiar environment. Positions are available on a full-time or part-time basis, with most offering daytime hours.

Requirements

• RN or LPN licensed in Iowa.
• Knowledge of nursing standards set by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to confidentiality.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of pediatric experience in acute hospital or home health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care according to the physician’s plan and established nursing standards.
• Conduct home visits and shifts, assess client conditions, record vital signs, and note changes.
• Administer nursing procedures, manage medications, and provide treatments according to physician orders and scope of practice.
• Promote a safe environment by educating families about home safety, infection control, and fall prevention.
• Communicate with the RN Case Manager and other team members to coordinate and improve care quality.
• Document all care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Train families in home care practices and collaborate creatively to meet care objectives.
