About The Position
Iowa Home Care is hiring a Pediatric Home Health Nurse to provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to pediatric clients in their homes. The nurse follows physician-directed care plans, administers treatments, and works with a dedicated care team to support each child’s health, safety, and well-being in a familiar environment. Several full-time and part-time positions are available, with most hours during the day.
Requirements
- RN or LPN license in Iowa.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to confidentiality.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of pediatric experience in acute hospital or home health care.
- Knowledge of nursing standards set by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care according to the physician’s plan and established nursing standards.
- Conduct home visits and shifts, assess client conditions, record vital signs, and note changes.
- Administer nursing procedures, manage medications, and provide treatments according to physician orders and scope of practice.
- Promote a safe environment by educating families on home safety, infection control, and fall prevention.
- Communicate with the RN Case Manager and other team members to coordinate and improve care quality.
- Document all care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Train families in home care practices and collaborate to meet care objectives.
