About The Position

Axcess provides home care to children with special needs and disabilities across South Carolina. The goal of this role is to provide compassionate nursing care to children and give parents and guardians peace of mind during visits. The specific care required varies by child and may include medication administration, catheter care, tracheostomy care, wound care, ventilator care, assistance with activities of daily living, and accompanying parents to appointments and therapies. The RN may also assist with light housekeeping and laundry to support the child and their parents or guardians.

The position is located in Greer, South Carolina, with a flexible schedule of three days per week for 6–8 hours per day. Axcess provides telephone assistance from 8 a.m. until midnight, seven days a week, for issues that arise.

Requirements

• Hold an active RN license to practice in South Carolina.
• Have at least one year of clinical experience.
• Complete annual TB testing.
• Have current CPR certification.
• Pass a SLED background check.
• Pass a drug test.
• Be physically able to provide care to a child with special needs.
• Have a valid driver's license and insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to a child with special needs.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Provide catheter, tracheostomy, wound, and ventilator care as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Accompany parents and children to appointments and therapies as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
