PDI Auditor (Class B CDL Required)

About The Position

The PDI Auditor audits completed Jayco towable products through planned and random inspections to ensure they meet company quality standards and objectives, as well as applicable industry codes and standards. The role evaluates RVIA code compliance, adherence to approved Jayco standards and procedures, fit and finish, quality and appearance, unit completeness, and system functionality. The auditor communicates quality feedback regularly to production and engineering personnel and supports and guides manufacturing in correcting processes to eliminate defects.

Requirements

Class B CDL.
Familiarity with RV manufacturing and assembly processes.
Knowledge of testing procedures and processes.
Thorough understanding of quality assurance techniques.
3–5 years of related experience.
Active listening and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills, good judgment, and decision-making ability.
Critical thinking, problem sensitivity, and inductive reasoning skills.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude through adversity and disagreement.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other software.
Ability to meet the physical demands of frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasional sitting at a computer; handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls; reaching; and frequently lifting and moving up to 25 pounds.
Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

Perform planned and random audits of completed towable products.
Check products for conformance to basic RVIA code requirements and approved Jayco standards and procedures.
Inspect fit and finish, general quality and appearance, unit completeness, and full system functionality.
Communicate quality feedback regularly to production and engineering personnel.
Support and guide manufacturing in correcting processes to eliminate defects.
