About The Position

The Driver transports residents to and from appointments and outings in community vehicles, which may include buses, vans, limousines, sedans, and trams. The role ensures residents receive appropriate assistance during outings and fulfills operational tasks involving driving. A Class B driver's license is required. The position is at Vi at Palo Alto, located at 620 Sand Hill Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The anticipated application window closes within 30 days of the posting date. The pay range is USD $25.10–$30.74 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience as a bus or van driver.
A valid, current driver's license for the vehicle class driven at the time of hire, including a Class B driver's license.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness and ability to become certified.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Maintain a clean DMV driving record.
Knowledge of the surrounding neighborhood area.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to handle stress and the needs of older adults.
Ability to use a client- and customer-focused approach to problem solving and goal setting.
Sensitivity to the needs of older adults.
