About The Position

MedTrans is Medline’s private fleet of professional drivers, delivering lifesaving medical products directly to commercial and residential customers. The fleet has more than 2,100 trucks and operates a network of more than 50 distribution centers, providing one-day shipping to 95% of the United States. The Class B Driver operates a Class B vehicle to transport medical products to local customers. The role helps build positive customer relationships through timely, accurate, and safe deliveries, along with in-person support at delivery locations.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Valid Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) for a Class B license, or a valid Class E license if required by the state.
Must meet all federal and state requirements for operating commercial motor vehicles.
Must have a clean driving record with no serious violations.
Frequently move, lift, and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Load and secure products from the Medline facility into a truck.
Safely operate a Class B vehicle between the Medline facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route.
Follow Medline safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment when needed and performing safety checks.
Unload and deliver products at customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
Provide in-person customer support, address questions and needs, and provide appropriate delivery documentation.
Communicate with dispatch about route or schedule adjustments needed to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
Maintain travel and cargo logs in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
Inspect the vehicle to ensure it is safe to operate and has sufficient fuel.
