About The Position

Central Valley is hiring a full-time Class B Delivery Driver for its St. Helena facility. The driver ensures timely delivery of goods, reviews orders before delivery, loads and unloads trucks, and provides exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include delivering merchandise to customers and jobsites, verifying outgoing products and delivery instructions, securing and flagging loads when necessary, assisting with unloading in the proper sequence, and confirming that the correct materials arrive undamaged. The driver also helps stage materials and load trucks, including using a forklift, and documents deliveries with a photo and/or customer signature when available, while providing the customer with a delivery receipt.

Requirements

Must be at least 25 years of age.
Class B driver's license required.
One year of experience tying down lumber and other building products, including flatbed experience, required.
Two years of verifiable driving experience required.
Driving record may not exceed one point.
Forklift experience required.
Experience driving a manual transmission truck required.

Responsibilities

Deliver merchandise to customers and jobsites in a timely manner.
Review orders and count and check the condition of outgoing products loaded onto the truck.
Contact customers to confirm delivery instructions.
Deliver orders undamaged to the correct jobsite and assist with unloading when necessary, following the proper unloading sequence.
Ensure loads are properly secured and flagged when necessary.
Provide friendly, courteous customer service upon delivery.
Assist with staging materials and building loads, including loading trucks with a forklift as needed.
Verify that the correct material is delivered.
Take a photo of the delivery and/or obtain a customer signature if available.
Provide the customer with a delivery receipt.
