About The Position

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is hiring a Trimmer to provide line-clearing and tree-trimming services for major electric utility providers. The work includes pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees through trimming or removal, and removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects. The Trimmer maintains, prepares, and operates tools and equipment, and works as part of a crew with Groundmen and a Crew Foreman. The position is permanent, full-time, and onsite in Edison, New Jersey, with travel expectations of up to 25%.

Requirements

Commercial driver's license with airbrake endorsement.
Electric utility tree-trimming or climbing experience.
Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Pesticide license, if required by state law.
Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.

Responsibilities
