PCA/CNA/Caregiver
About The Position
First Priority is hiring full- or part-time CNAs, PCAs, and Caregivers to provide non-medical home care to clients receiving in-home care. The company describes itself as client-driven, with a mission to support the communities it serves, help aging adults live life to the fullest, and empower staff in purpose-driven work. Caregivers assist clients with activities of daily living, companionship, meal preparation when needed, and light housekeeping. They observe and report changes in clients’ conditions or behavior, and follow individualized care plans and company policies. Shifts may include days, nights, and weekends, with scheduling intended to accommodate the caregiver’s availability.
Requirements
- Be eligible to work in the United States; the employer cannot provide sponsorship.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and other required screenings.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be familiar with memory care practices and behavioral support strategies.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving, PCA, or home care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Help clients with dressing and toileting.
- Provide mobility support and assistance with transfers.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying the client’s space, and changing linens.
- Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior to a supervisor.
- Follow individualized care plans and company policies.
