About The Position

Cottage Health seeks a PBX Operator for its CH Navigation Center department. The role operates the PBX console and ensures calls to CHS hospitals are handled expediently, accurately, and pleasantly. The operator uses paging and other communications systems, handles emergency procedures, serves as a base station for Security Officers, and monitors and responds to alarm systems located in the Communications Center.

Requirements

• Ability to use a PC to operate the PBX console program and other communications systems in the department.

• One year of PBX operator or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the PBX console.
• Ensure calls to CHS hospitals are handled in an expedient, accurate, and pleasant manner.
• Use paging and other communications systems.
• Handle emergency procedures.
• Act as a base station for Security Officers.
