PBX Operator - Communications
About The Position
Desert Valley Hospital is seeking a PBX Operator to support hospital-wide communications and provide a welcoming, responsive experience for patients, visitors, guests, and staff. The role is responsible for operating the hospital switchboard, routing calls, managing overhead pages, greeting and directing people to appropriate departments, monitoring hospital alarms, and following emergency-code policies and procedures. The operator provides professional customer service, communicates effectively with the population served, and manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment. The position is per diem with varied shifts at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, California.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous office or receptionist experience.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Spanish-speaking ability.
