About The Position
The PBX Operator / Receptionist supports hospital-wide communications at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, California. The role serves as a point of connection for patients, visitors, guests, and staff by answering and routing calls through the hospital switchboard, managing overhead pages, and directing people to the appropriate departments. The operator monitors hospital alarms and must be familiar with hospital emergency-code policies and procedures. The position requires professional, responsive customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with the population served while handling multiple priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an office or receptionist role.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
