About The Position

This position provides strategic training, oversight and direction for the Department of Corrections’ payroll services, acting as the department’s primary subject matter expert on complex payroll matters. The position establishes payroll policies, training manuals/materials and standards, ensures consistent statewide application of laws and collective bargaining agreements, and provides final review, mentoring and guidance on complex payroll issues, grievances, and compliance matters.

  • Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible professional level experience providing payroll production and/or operations support to a business or organization, human resource management, business administration, public administration, or similar business field.
