Requirements

  • 2-3 years of payroll and office management experience
  • 1+ year of HR experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate math and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ADP for payroll processing and HRIS management is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Deltek ComputerEase or similar construction‑focused accounting software is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Import daily time and field logs
  • Review payroll for accuracy and ensure proper tax application
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports
  • Process raises, garnishments, terminations, and 401(k) contributions
  • Manage prevailing wage reporting and W‑2 processing
  • Update benefits, wages, and crew lists weekly
  • Support payroll system implementation and provide time-entry training
  • Review candidates, schedule interviews, and manage onboarding
  • Coordinate drug testing, employee files, and new hire reporting
  • Maintain staffing spreadsheets and send company-wide announcements
  • Monitor attendance and support corrective action processes
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and employee travel arrangements
  • Manage state-specific employee registrations
  • Prepare journal entries (truck allocation, small tools, overhead clearing)
  • Assist with monthly financial and benefit reporting
  • Support additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed
