Position Summary: The HR/Payroll Coordinator supports the daily operations of Human Resources with a focus on payroll processing. This role is responsible for coordinating payroll activities and supporting key HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR, people operations, or administrative coordination.
  • Proficiency with UKG or similar HRIS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including reviewing and auditing timesheets, earnings, and deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Generate, analyze, and validate payroll reports; resolve discrepancies in partnership with Payroll and Finance
  • Update employee data within HRIS (UKG), ensuring accuracy across payroll, status changes, and personal information.
  • Coordinate HR workflows across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, and offboarding.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll and HR-related inquiries, supporting employee relations as needed.
  • Manage and distribute employee-related requests, prioritizing based on urgency and ensuring timely follow-up across departments.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination for employee updates, partnering with teams such as IT, Benefits, and Recruitment
  • Monitor and manage the HR inbox, including employment verifications and general inquiries.
  • Support internal communications and engagement initiatives, including newsletters, announcements, and employee recognition efforts.
  • Assist with reporting and audits, including monthly metrics and year-end payroll activities (W-2s, audits, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and payroll regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
