About The Position

NHC HealthCare Sumter is seeking a full-time Payroll/Accounts Payable Bookkeeper. This role involves managing accounts payable tasks such as vouchering invoices, preparing weekly check runs, and communicating with vendors. The bookkeeper will also prepare month-end books for submission to the home office and perform other related accounts payable tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance verification, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. They should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other departments. Requirements

  • Experience in insurance verification, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
  • Possess good communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Be able to work effectively and thoroughly with patients and families.
  • Be well-organized, persistent and work as a team player with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Vouchering invoices
