About The Position

Ridgeview Institute Monroe is seeking an empathetic and dedicated Payroll/Accounts Payable professional to join their team. This role is integral to providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to staff. Working under the guidance of a Senior Accountant, the Payroll/Accounts Payable will contribute to creating a positive commitment environment. The position is crucial in positively impacting the overall experience for the diverse staff population by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and accounts payable functions.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of accounts payable/payroll experience.
  • General Ledger Account and reconciliation ability.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, outsource payroll processing payroll/accounts payable systems, and Excel.
  • Any combination of education, training or experience in a business office environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preferably in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate processing of all employee payroll-related functions, including entering new hire information, health and welfare benefit elections, 401(K) enrollments, and status changes.
  • Audit benefits eligibility based on status changes and stop benefit elections as appropriate.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely fashion, including receiving and auditing time sheets, inputting time into the payroll system, and maintaining accurate records of PTO.
  • Verify payroll reports prior to the bi-weekly payroll run.
  • Print bi-weekly payroll checks and audit for accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Prepare all payroll tax deposits each month.
  • Respond quickly to all payroll-related problems.
  • Maintain the accounts payable system to ensure all vendors are paid in accordance with invoice terms.
