About The Position

Infosys Consulting’s Financial Services practice is seeking a seasoned Payments Transformation professional to lead a strategic Payments Modernization initiative focused on High-Value Payments (HVP) for a Tier-1 financial institution. The role involves replacing legacy systems with a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product and forward-engineering rail-agnostic capabilities on a microservices platform, with suitable agentic AI interventions to support future-ready payment flows. The successful candidate will bring deep high-value payments expertise, program leadership experience, and a track record of delivering complex transformations in regulated environments. The role requires extensive travel. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time. The estimated total annual compensation (base plus bonus) for candidates based in NJ, IL, NY, CA, and WA is $154,375 to $193,125.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in the payments domain, including at least 5 years in program management roles.
Strong understanding of High-Value Payments, ISO 20022, SWIFT, Fedwire, and CHIPS.
Experience implementing COTS products in financial services, such as FIS, Finastra, Volante, or ACI.
Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation programs in complex environments.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Familiarity with rail-agnostic architecture principles and modern payment ecosystems.
Ability to travel extensively.
Authorization to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

PMP or equivalent certification.
Experience working with North American banks or securities firms.
Exposure to cloud-native payment platforms and API-led modernization.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of the Payments Modernization program, aligning it with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Drive replacement of the legacy platform with a scalable, secure, and compliant COTS solution.
Architect and oversee development of rail-agnostic payment capabilities supporting SWIFT, RTP, ISO 20022, and emerging rails.
Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and client stakeholders.
Manage program governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication across multiple geographies.
Ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and future-proof payment capabilities.
Track KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
