Patient Transportation Partner
About The Position
As a Patient Transportation Partner at Henry Ford Health’s flagship Detroit hospital campus, you will safely and efficiently transport patients, charts, equipment, and other items throughout hospital and clinic areas. This Support Services role helps patients and healthcare teams by ensuring timely and secure movement within the facility and contributing to the efficiency and quality of care. The position involves using transport management software to process work requests and manage tasks, maintaining the confidentiality of patient and unit-care data in compliance with HIPAA, and using proper lifting techniques to protect patients and yourself.
Requirements
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone.
- Must pass all HFHS pre-employment requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Certification or successful completion of basic CPR certification during the orientation period.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience is preferred.
