About The Position

Latham Medical Group is hiring a full-time Patient Support Specialist to join their team! This is a 40-hour work week with hours Monday through Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm or 8:30 am-5:00 pm. The role involves creating a positive experience for patients by greeting and assisting them, scheduling appointments, verifying information, managing check-in/check-out, responding to questions, maintaining documentation, and supporting team operations.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers and external customers.

Nice To Haves

• Medical office experience is preferred
• Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred
• Additional education desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner
• Answer incoming calls and assist with scheduling appointments
• Verify patient information and insurance details
• Manage patient check in and out process
• Respond to patient questions and direct concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Support providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations.
