About The Position
The Patient Services Specialist – Journey Level performs core front-office functions with increased independence and efficiency. The role is responsible for patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and general clerical duties. As a member of the care team, the specialist supports Providence patients and their families through compassionate service, effective communication, and operational excellence. The position is with Providence Medical Foundation, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of customer service, medical office, or healthcare experience, or 6 months of experience as a Providence employee in an Associate position.
Responsibilities
- Register patients.
- Schedule appointments.
- Verify insurance.
- Perform general clerical duties.
- Provide compassionate service and effective communication in support of patients and their families.
- Support operational excellence as a member of the care team.
