About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our thriving Cardiology Clinic located in Tualatin. This phone-based role focuses on providing patients and stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, ensuring the highest value care is delivered with kindness and empathy. You will be responsible for checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance information, answering phones, processing referrals, and updating EMR records.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of previous medical front office experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
• Familiarity with insurance requirements and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent phone skills and customer service skills.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty care Cardiology experience is a plus!
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
• EPIC experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Checking in and out new/established patients.
• Scheduling and rescheduling patients’ appointments according to office protocols and physician requests.
• Obtaining and completing insurance information.
• Answering phones on a multi-line system.
• Processing of incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
• Updating registration and EMR records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
