About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist/Surgery Scheduler in our Cardiology Clinic located in Southwest Beaverton. Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of previous medical front office experience is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Familiarity with insurance requirements and referral processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent phone skills and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty care Cardiology experience is a plus!
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is preferred.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) EPIC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for efficient physician scheduling and patient access by properly scheduling and rescheduling patients’ surgeries and/or appointments according to all office protocols and physician requests in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Work directly with the surgeons and hospital, obtaining and completing insurance information, completing required documentation, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Manage front office operations, including answering multi-line phones, processing medical records requests, and providing patient support and information.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, strong organizational skills, effective multitasking, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
