About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist/Surgery Scheduler in our Cardiology Clinic located in Southwest Beaverton. This phone-based role is crucial for ensuring efficient physician scheduling and patient access. You will work directly with surgeons and hospitals, manage insurance information, complete required documentation, and maintain accurate patient records. The position also involves managing front office operations, including answering multi-line phones, processing medical records requests, and providing patient support. A strong commitment to excellent customer service, communication, attendance, organization, multitasking, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment is essential. Other administrative tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of previous medical front office experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Familiarity with insurance requirements and referral processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent phone skills and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty care Cardiology experience is a plus!
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is preferred.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) EPIC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently schedule and reschedule patients’ surgeries and/or appointments according to office protocols and physician requests.
  • Work directly with surgeons and hospitals to obtain and complete insurance information.
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Manage front office operations, including answering multi-line phones, processing medical records requests, and providing patient support and information.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, strong organizational skills, effective multitasking, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
