About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Physical Therapy Clinic located in Southwest Beaverton. This role is crucial in ensuring patients receive the highest value care tailored to their needs by providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders. You will utilize excellent customer service and communication skills to perform front office duties, manage patient check-ins/outs, schedule appointments, handle medical records, answer phones, obtain insurance information, process referrals, and update EMR records.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office, is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
Familiarity with insurance requirements and referral processes.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
Excellent attendance and work ethic.
Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years of medical office experience are strongly preferred!
Specialty care Physical Therapy experience is a plus!
Prior experience in complex scheduling is preferred.
Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
EPIC experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for checking in and out new/established patients and scheduling appointments in an efficient and timely manner.
Performs front office duties as necessary including medical records requests, answering telephones, and providing information.
Obtaining and completing insurance information.
Processing of incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
Updating registration and EMR records as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
