Patient Services Specialist for GI in Newberg

By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology South Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience, preferably in a medical office, is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is preferred.
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
- Must live in Newberg, Tualatin, Portland, or SW Washington.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty care GI experience is a plus!
- Epic experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Responsible for scheduling our clinic tests and in-office procedures.
- Maintaining and processing our services and procedure work-queue requests.
- Outbound phone calls and incoming return phone calls.
- Coverage for our Care Team scheduler.
- Obtaining and completing insurance information.
- Updating registration and EMR records as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
