About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist II or III in our Gastroenterology West Clinic in Southwest Portland. This role is phone-based and focuses on providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders. The primary goal is to ensure patients receive the highest value care tailored to their needs, delivered with kindness and empathy. The position offers the opportunity to make a valuable impact within the local community and the clinic's ecosystem of care.

Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of previous medical front office experience.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in surgery or other complex scheduling.
Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
Excellent attendance and work ethic.
Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

Specialty care GI experience.
Prior EMR Experience.
Epic experience.

Responsibilities

Checking in and out new/established patients and scheduling appointments efficiently and timely.
Cross-training in multiple areas and taking on extra duties such as supply management or safety coordination.
Serving as a subject matter expert.
Providing excellent customer service to all external and internal customers while managing high-volume answering phones on a multi-line system.
Obtaining and completing insurance information.
Updating records as needed.
Performing other duties as assigned.
