About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Gastroenterology South Clinic in Newberg. This hybrid/remote role involves providing excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure patients receive high-value, tailored care. You will be responsible for scheduling clinic tests and procedures, managing work-queue requests, handling phone calls, obtaining insurance information, and updating patient records. Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is preferred.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
• Must live in Newberg, Tualatin, Portland, or SW Washington.

• Specialty care GI experience is a plus!
• Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Scheduling clinic tests and in-office procedures.
• Maintaining and processing services and procedure work-queue requests.
• Handling outbound phone calls and incoming return phone calls.
• Providing coverage for the Care Team scheduler.
• Obtaining and completing insurance information.
• Updating registration and EMR records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
