Patient Services Specialist for Neurosurgery in SW Portland
About The Position
Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Neurosurgery & Spine – West Clinic in Southwest Portland. This phone-based role focuses on providing excellent customer service and communication to ensure patients receive high-value care. You will be a key part of our mission to deliver world-class care with kindness and empathy, making a positive impact within the local community and our ecosystem of care. By ensuring a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders, you contribute to the clinic's goal of tailored patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
- Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty care Neurosurgery & Spine experience is a plus!
- Epic experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Checking in and out new/established patients and scheduling appointments efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Obtaining and completing insurance information.
- Answering phones on a multi-line system.
- Processing of incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
- Updating records as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
