Patient Services Specialist for Center for Advanced Surgery in SW Beaverton
About The Position
Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Center for Advanced Surgery-West Clinic in Southwest Beaverton. This role is phone-based and focuses on providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders, ensuring they receive high-value care. Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling is required.
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) EPIC with registration experience is required.
- Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
- Excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office, is strongly preferred.
- Specialty care Center for Advanced Surgery experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Checking in and out new/established patients.
- Scheduling/rescheduling patients’ appointments and/or surgeries according to office protocols and physician requests.
- Obtaining and completing insurance information.
- Answering phones on a multi-line system.
- Processing of incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
- Obtaining imaging studies and other critical reports as needed.
- Updating registration and EMR records as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
