About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Orthopedics Clinic located in Northeast Portland. This phone-based role is crucial in ensuring patients receive high-value care tailored to their needs by providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders. You will utilize excellent customer service and communication skills to support the clinic's operations and patient flow.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of previous medical front office experience is strongly preferred.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty care, Orthopedics experience is a plus!
• Epic experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Checking in and out new/established patients.
• Scheduling and rescheduling patients’ surgeries and/or appointments according to office protocols and physician requests.
• Obtaining and completing insurance information.
• Answering phones on a multi-line system.
• Updating patient records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
