Patient Services Specialist / Echo Lab / UW Medical Center Montlake
About The Position
UW Medical Center - Montlake - Echo Lab has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. This is a full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) position with day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The role is on-site with no telework options. The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services, including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant, VADs, adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, and cardiovascular genetics.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent AND One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR An equivalent combination of education/experience
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
Responsibilities
- Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
- Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
- Obtaining patient demographic and clinical information
- Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
- Other duties as requested
