About The Position
Surgery Clinic (location) - UW Medical Center at Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. This position is part-time, 50% FTE (20 hours per week) on the Day Shift from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and is on-site with no telework. The General Surgery Clinic at UW Medical Center – Montlake offers a range of evaluation and surgical treatment services, including the evaluation and general surgical treatments of cancers and other diseases; treatment of conditions of the colon, rectum and anus; and hernia care. Our experienced, board-certified physicians and medical staff treat patients as individuals, each with his or her own health needs and life goals.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent AND One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR An equivalent combination of education/experience
Responsibilities
- Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging
- Scheduling provider and ancillary service appointments
- Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information
- Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery
- Other duties as requested
