About The Position
Join UT Health East Texas Physicians as a full-time, day-shift Patient Services Representative. The role supports clinic operations by assisting patients with check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, payments, and medical record requests. UT Health East Texas Physicians operates 90 primary and specialty care clinics and eight urgent care centers across the region and is affiliated with The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Experience posting payments and entering charges.
- Two years of recent experience in a clinic or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Check patients in and out.
- Schedule appointments.
- Scan and file documents.
- Verify insurance.
- Obtain authorizations.
- Collect payments and post charges.
- Fax medical records requests.
- Schedule patients for injections at the hospital.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
