About The Position

This position assists the Staten Island, NY location. The role combines patient-facing clinical support with administrative and clerical responsibilities to help ensure a smooth patient experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
One year of experience with EMR systems preferred.
One year of experience taking vital signs preferred.
Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet registered patients and guide them through the patient flow process.
Monitor clinical equipment and escalate issues to the supervisor.
Check schedules and accompany patients to exam or procedure rooms.
Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and exam preparation.
Maintain a sterile environment and follow standard infection-control precautions.
Prepare exam rooms, clean rooms and instruments, and restock supplies between patients.
Take vital signs, update patient histories, assist providers in the exam room, and enter patient data into the practice management system.
Send, receive, and scan medical records; obtain diagnostic reports; and manage charting.
Check dated materials and medications for expiration dates and discard expired items.
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
Provide customer-service-oriented care.
