About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate, dedicated full-time Patient Services Coordinator to join its team in New Bern, North Carolina. The role performs administrative and clerical functions in a clinic serving adults with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring medical conditions. As part of the front desk administrative team, the coordinator checks in patients, collects co-pays, handles medical records, and processes patient paperwork and data. The coordinator is the organization’s point of contact at check-in and check-out and provides excellent customer service to patients and families visiting the clinic. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position offers compensation of $14–$16 per hour, based on experience. Easterseals PORT Health describes itself as a provider of disability, mental health, and substance use services, delivered in person and through telehealth across North Carolina and Virginia.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency with EHR systems or technical savvy.
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the mental health population is preferred.
