About The Position

Lumexa Imaging, one of the country's largest providers of outpatient medical imaging, has more than 5,000 team members and over 185 outpatient imaging centers across 13 states, conducting more than 4 million outpatient studies annually. American Health Imaging is seeking an entry-level Patient Service Representative to float between its Newnan, Georgia, and Fayetteville, Georgia locations. No medical experience is required, and the role is suited to a customer-service-focused candidate interested in a medical office setting. This is a PRN (per diem) position, and the employee must be able to cover shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM, 10 AM to 6 PM, or 2 PM to 10 PM.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience in a medical office setting or hospital.
• Ability to handle heavy patient volume.
• Strong customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in authorizations and insurance verification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for diagnostic exams and procedures.
• Assist with authorizations and verifications.
• Check patients in and out.
• Answer multiple phone lines.
• Provide accurate and complete information to the billing office.
• Verify insurance.
• Ensure accuracy of patient data entered into the system.
• Process requests and file patient records.
