About The Position
The Patient Services Representative is a varied role that responds to the clinical or clerical staffing needs of the practice. The position supports physicians and/or mid-level providers with clinical activities and direct patient care, and assists patients and staff with the practice’s administrative and clerical needs. This position is onsite at Cayuga Primary Care - Community Corners, 905 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good time management and prioritization skills.
- Good computer skills; Medent and Microsoft Office are utilized.
Nice To Haves
- Previous medical office experience.
- College-level training or education in a healthcare support field.
- Previous EMR use or training.
Responsibilities
- Check in patients upon arrival.
- Verify and update patient demographics.
- Collect outstanding balances and co-pays.
- Assist with scheduling labs, x-rays, procedures, or testing, and send orders.
- Take messages and triage phone calls.
- Schedule patient appointments.
