About The Position

ZOLL, manufacturer of the LifeVest wearable defibrillator, is seeking Patient Service Representatives as independent contract workers to train patients on using the LifeVest. The device is worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest, providing protection as their condition changes while allowing them to return to common activities of daily living. A typical patient is in the hospital awaiting discharge. The Patient Service Representative sets up the equipment, trains the patient and caregivers, and follows up as needed to support patient understanding and satisfaction. Representatives may accept or decline assignments according to their schedules. Most assignments can be scheduled during free time, including before or after work and on days off.

Requirements

One year of patient care experience.
Patient care experience must be professional, not as a family caregiver, and documented on a resume.
Willingness to complete a background check.
Florida and Ohio candidates must complete a Level 2 screening; the fee is not paid by ZOLL.
Disclose a personal NPI number, if applicable.
Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
Willingness to pay for additional training and vendor credentials (e.g., DME/RepTrax); fees are not paid by ZOLL.

Responsibilities

Manage equipment and garment inventory.
Contact caregivers and family members to schedule fittings.
Be available, willing, and able to conduct evening and weekend activities.
Travel to patients’ homes for fittings or follow-up visits.
Disclose any family relationship with a potential referral source.
Program equipment according to the prescribing physician’s orders.
Measure patients and determine the correct garment size.
Train patients and other caregivers in the use of the LifeVest.
Have the patient sign a Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist.
Fax the signed Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist to ZOLL within 24 hours of the assignment.
