About The Position

Fitzgibbon Hospital, a non-profit community hospital serving Marshall, MO and surrounding areas, is seeking a self-driven and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join their Ortho/Out Patient Clinic team. This role is crucial as Patient Service Representatives are the first and last point of contact for patients and visitors, initiating electronic encounters and significantly impacting reimbursement. The team is dedicated to learning and adapting to the ever-changing requirements of federal, state, and private insurances to positively influence reimbursement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 year customer service experience
• insurance experience

• Greets and registers patients presenting to the hospital, Emergency Department, and clinics
• Announces codes over the Emergency Alert System for the organization
• Collects copays and balances on current and previous encounters
• Answers all switchboard calls for the organization
