About The Position

This role is for a Patient Service Representative at a clinic within Saint Thomas Medical Partners, specializing in Primary Care. The position is full-time, with day shifts. The representative will be responsible for championing the patient experience by providing a warm, professional welcome, guiding patients through check-in/out, and ensuring accurate records. They will also navigate the care journey by managing schedules, confirming appointments, and handling medical record requests. Financial clarity will be provided by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications, and assisting with co-payments and billing questions. The role also involves ensuring accuracy and flow by submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing essential clerical support to maintain an organized and welcoming environment.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests to keep our clinical team and patients perfectly in sync.
Assist patients by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time, then help them navigate co-payments and billing questions with transparency and empathy.
Maintain the heartbeat of the office by submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing the essential clerical support that keeps our environment organized and welcoming.
