About The Position

This role is for a Patient Service Representative in clinics located in the Mt. Juliet, TN area. The position is part of the Float Staffing team and operates on a PRN (as needed) basis during the day. The primary focus is on championing the patient experience by providing a warm and professional welcome, guiding patients through check-in/out processes, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The role also involves managing patient schedules, confirming appointments, handling medical record requests, assisting with insurance authorizations and precertifications, and addressing co-payments and billing questions. Additionally, the representative will be responsible for submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing essential clerical support to maintain an organized and welcoming office environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests.
  • Assist patients by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time, then help them navigate co-payments and billing questions with transparency and empathy.
  • Submit daily service charges, reconcile deposits, and provide essential clerical support.
