About The Position

This role is at the Saint Thomas Medical Partners Surgical Clinic in Nashville, TN, specializing in outpatient surgery. The position is full-time, working day shifts. The Patient Service Representative will champion the patient experience by providing a warm, professional welcome, guiding patients through check-in/out processes, and ensuring accurate records. They will navigate the care journey by managing schedules, confirming appointments, and handling medical record requests. Additionally, they will provide financial clarity by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications, and assisting with co-payments and billing questions. The role also ensures accuracy and flow by submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing essential clerical support to maintain an organized and welcoming environment.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests.
