Patient Service Coordinator
About The Position
US Fertility has an immediate opening for a Patient Service Coordinator at Fertility Centers of Illinois in River North, Chicago, Illinois. The role supports patients and the practice by maintaining patient account information, scheduling appointments, addressing patient concerns, explaining benefits and financial options, and providing high-level customer service to patients and visitors. The position offers the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization focused on fertility care, patient experience, and research and development. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time, with weekend rotation as needed from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Compensation is $22 to $23 per hour, commensurate with experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of applicable work experience.
- High school diploma.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance and benefits, medical terminology, and medical billing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented and computer savvy.
- High level of customer service.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an OB/GYN office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, financial, and insurance information.
- Assess patients’ minimum needs and schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization.
- Address patient and customer issues and ensure effective short-term and long-term resolution.
- Provide timely feedback to the practice regarding service failures or patient concerns.
- Consult with patients regarding benefits, coverage, and financial options.
- Greet patients and visitors and provide a high level of customer service.
