Patient Service Coordinator / Wound Care Trumbull
About The Position
The Patient Care Tech supports patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Leader. The role includes direct and indirect patient care activities and selected interventions that help provide comprehensive care in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. Working with the care team, the Patient Care Tech helps ensure a safe, efficient care environment and a positive patient experience. The position is performed in a high-activity environment with multiple priorities and requires flexibility in scheduling. Clinical ladder opportunities and additional responsibilities are available based on experience, skills, and certifications.
Requirements
- Complete the PCT-specific HHC orientation.
- Obtain an American Heart Association (AHA)-credentialed Certified BLS Provider credential within 2 months (60 days) of hire or job transfer.
- No experience is required; on-site training is provided.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
- Current Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA certification for eligibility for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
