This position is responsible for answering a high volume of incoming calls promptly, courteously, and in a caring friendly manner, ensuring outstanding customer service at all times. The role involves accurately, appropriately, and efficiently scheduling appointments for multiple offices, following specific department guidelines and protocols to ensure service excellence. The Patient Scheduling Representative II is responsible for entering appropriate diagnoses and ICD-9 codes in compliance with Local Medical Review Policies, gathering complete and accurate patient type, demographic, and billing information, and pre-registering patients in a timely and efficient manner. They advise patients of any insurance authorization and referral requirements, ensuring timely transfer of registration information for financial clearance and appropriate reimbursement. Additionally, they advise patients of the collections policy, explain payments, deposits, and co-pays, and direct patients to the SCMG Biller when necessary. This role also involves assisting and supporting new employees, maintaining accurate physician data, and maintaining paper files as a back-up for computer downtime.
