About The Position

The Patient Safety Monitor assists with the patient admission process, including obtaining and recording vital signs, weight, and height. The role orients patients to their surroundings, including operation of the television and phone, and may feed patients and record liquid intake. The monitor reports changes in a patient’s condition to the clinician, primary nurse, or charge nurse on duty. The position also performs or assists with observation of patients who exhibit at-risk behaviors and requires the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.

Requirements

• Ability to stay calm in emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

• Patient care technician experience is preferred.
• Experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
