About The Position

The Patient Safety Monitor assists with patient admissions by obtaining and recording vital signs, weight, and height. The role includes orienting patients to their surroundings, including television and phone operation; feeding patients; and recording liquid intake. The monitor reports all changes in a patient's condition to the clinician, primary nurse, or charge nurse on duty. The position also involves performing or assisting with observation of patients who exhibit at-risk behaviors and requires the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.

Requirements

• Ability to stay calm in emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

• Patient care technician experience is preferred.
• Experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
