Patient Safety Attendant

About The Position

As a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant at HCA Florida JFK Hospital, you will help protect patients at risk for falls, injury, or self-harm. Working from a remote station, you will monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being and communicate concerns to the care team in real time so they can respond promptly. The role supports patient safety and a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
Obtain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Continuously watch patients to help ensure their safety and well-being.
Identify risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alert the care team so they can intervene.
Accurately and clearly document patient activity and changes throughout the shift.
Safeguard confidential information and honor patient privacy.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to foster compassion, respect, and teamwork.
